  8. OTHER
    1. If you don't find what you are looking for.
    2. STILL choose one of the above for 3 months to 1 year. Then ....
      1. If you can play the Classical Guitar, you have a far better foundation for LEAD Guitar, RHYTHM Guiar, PICK Guitar, Acostic Guitar, 12-string, Hawaiian Guitar or any other style of guitar playing.
      2. The piano is NOT a mobile unit. An organ is expensive and beyond your reach. The keyboard has limitations and in most cases just a toy. Use the classical guitar as an alternate to the piano as an accompanying instrument.
      3. If you play a tune on a Recorder you can read music - the treble and even the bass clef can be learnt with a Recorder - and have the foundation to move to any other instrument. You would have learnt to play with others. Recorders are least expensive. Easiest. Quickest.
      4. If you can play the Flute. You can be a part of the woodwinds section or hold your own in most bands, groups, genres or forms of music.
      5. If you learn the double-bass you could be a part of most bands as the string-bass can easily be a part of any group.
      6. If you are interested in the Saxophone, you are better of learning a reed-instrument; ie. the Clarinet first. Learn to read music, play with others be a part of a classical woodwinds quartet. Being an Alto or Tenor Saxophonist is an easy step from there.
      7. The ever popular acoustic-guitar and keyboard offered even as Examinations are limited in scope and what they offer from the wider, deepder and richer tapestry of music available to all of us. Don't waste your time, money & energy on this. It will come to you automatically as a by-product of your overall musical development.
